St.Patricks day has never been really big in our house but
sense I have started making cakes I guess anything is game. My kiddos found this cake very fun because they had made leprechaun traps at school and their traps didn't catch him so we decided to make a cake to trap him in that looked like a pot of gold only for him to find out that it was full of fondant and chocolate flakes!!!!!
Obviously our cake caught him so my kiddos
were very excited!!!!!!
See all the pretty stars that were glittering to catch our leprechauns attention
Cy and Hannah in their 4 leaf clover headbands and St. Patricks Day shirts!!!
All the kiddos on the stairs!!!
Westin and Brandon posing in their shirts and clover headbands
Hannah's shirt is so cute it says "Mommy's Lady Luck" Westins says "Mommy's lucky charm" and Cy and Brandon's say "lucky me"
Now on to my cupcakes the first picture is of a home made vanilla bean cupcake with of course green cream cheese icing and edible gold star shaped chocolate flakes!!!!!!!!!!
The next photo is of a more out there cupcake it is a avocado and cracked black pepper. The cupcake is a vanilla bean but you add cracked pepper in with your dry ingredients and bake it inside the cupcake, amazingly these were pretty good, my mother-n-law approved and that's good enough for me.
This is another not so normal cupcake,It is a pancake and bacon cupcake. The cupcake is once again a vanilla bean but you add maple syrup to the ingredients you also cut up fully cooked bacon and bake small pieces inside the cupcake its self, The icing is a buttercream and maple syrup mixiture.
I had a lot of positive feedback on these cupcakes even from the kids so I wil be makin them again soon.
Look at how cute they all look in their shirts and 4 leaf clovers!!!!!!!!
